Week two of my-photo-schools lightroom course is coming to an end already – and I’ve yet to submit my assignment… But I have managed to use the skills I’m learning to edit photographs of our family get together over Easter. One camera, and lots of budding photographers means I have no idea who pressed the shutter per image. The results were a few overexposed images and many with deep shadows caused by glorious sunshine. Thankfully this is no problem for lightroom:) The images were shot in JPEG format, but following this weeks lesson I have changed the settings on my camera to shoot in RAW. This is because more information is captured in the image giving greater possibilities for editing. Do you have family Easter traditions? One of ours is to decorate a hard boiled egg and roll them down a hill – the winner is the person who rolls it the furthest, or is to who manages to retain the shell??! Needless to say great fun was had, and I think I was the winner..!! I have collated the edited images into a photobook and ordered some copies for upcoming birthdays.
